Open Meetings

Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, we hold an open meeting that you are welcome to attend. There, we plan specific actions, discuss possible and current labor disputes, develop strategies for organization, and exchange experiences from our jobs and lives. Feel free to come and see how our union works. You don’t need any prior knowledge and you’re not committing to anything. Since we are currently in a phase of renewal, you can also contribute your ideas! We look forward to seeing you.

The location is currently available on request: Either by email: faubn@fau.org or via Instagram DM: @faubonn

What happens to union dues?

They are distributed according to a formula to local, regional, and national funds for legal aid, public relations, networking, international solidarity and cooperation, and support for labor disputes. No union should be financially overwhelmed by a labor dispute, and no member should be afraid to assert their rights for fear of being left with a mountain of costs. The allocation of funds is decided on a grassroots democratic basis for the respective funds at the local, regional, and national levels.
