We are the working group (WG) “Sexta” of the General Syndicate of the Free Workers Union Bonn (FAU Bonn for short). As part of the nationwide trade union federation FAU, we are also networked in different regions and internationally and would like to use and strengthen these structures. Non-FAUistas are also most welcome to participate in our Bonn WG Sexta.

Outside the FAU, our WG Sexta is part of the national “Network of Rebellion” in Germany; which, like us, subscribes to the Sixth Declaration from the Lacandon Jungle (in short “Sexta“; EZLN, Mexico 2005) or , better said, to the more recent “Declaration for Life” (EZLN, Mexico 2021). We share the contents of these declarations, because in it we recognize our claim to an anti-authoritarian internationalism from the left & below.

We want to get to know other struggles from left & below both inside and outside our union, to exchange, learn from and support each other.

We decide the respective means together in accordance with the principles of the FAU and the Network of Rebellion. This includes personal meetings on a local level as well as delegation trips on an international level. We record our experiences and information and make them available to our networks.

As a foundation, we strive for more exchange at the local level, especially among groups that participated in the “Journey for Life” (Gira), of the Zapatistas in 2021. In terms of content and practice, we would like to tie in with the Gira, deepen existing contacts and establish new ones.

In this way, we want to contribute to creating the foundations for a different society, beyond exploitation and discrimination – self-organized and in solidarity, from the left and from below.
